Job Summary:

The mechanical engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of mechanical systems and devices. This role involves collaboration with various teams, including production, maintenance, quality, and project management, to ensure that products meet technical specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
  • Create plans, technical specifications, and prototypes for new products.

Analysis and Modeling:

  • Perform structural, thermal, and dynamic analyses to ensure product performance and durability.
  • Use simulation software to model mechanical system behaviors and optimize designs.

Testing and Validation:

  • Plan and conduct prototype testing to verify compliance with specifications and safety standards.
  • Analyze test results and make necessary design modifications.

Project Management:

  • Participate in the planning and management of product development projects, including defining objectives, required resources, and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress and coordinate activities with other departments.

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams to resolve issues related to mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Train personnel on new technologies and manufacturing methods.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Research and propose innovative solutions to improve product performance, reliability, and cost.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB).
  • Strong skills in technical analysis and problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Initiative and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
